Do you have the Best BBQ in the Area?
Well here is your chance to show off your best BBQ recipe.
The Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes are putting on their 2nd Annual BBQ Cookoff at the beach.
Date: Saturday, October 2, 2021.
Location: Town Hill of Colonial Beach on the corner of Colonial and Washington Ave.
Time: 12-4
Judging starts: 2:00 p.m.
Winners announced: 3:30 p.m.
Deadline to sign up and payment: September 1, 2021
We will have DJ Turtle on site to play the tunes for the day.
This event is free to the public, but we would appreciate a small donation as you enter to help further our cause to support our local veterans and first responders.
Entree Fee is $50.00 for BBQ contestants.
If a BBQ participant decides to enter two different categories, they will be required to pay two separate entry fees.
BBQ Cooks will be allowed on site 24 hours prior to the actual event to prepare their specialty.
Categories : Ribs (no country ribs allowed) Pork – Can include, butt, shoulder or picnic
We will be having a People’s Choice Award this year.
$300.00 Cash prize monies to the winners of each category.
BBQ Cooks: your application with all the rules for the event and payment button are located at the bottom of this event.
10×12 area for each BBQ Cook.
BBQ Cooks are required to provide a small amount to the public for taste testing. This will be apart of the People’s choice awards.
Lots of Vendors will be on site, including food trucks. We are currently still looking for Vendors for this event. We are filling up fast and currently have 22 vendors. Contact us at fredfallenheroes@gmail.com if you are interested in being a vendor.
Vendor spots are $30.00
10×10 area for each vendor. If more space is needed, an additional fee of $30.00 will be required.
All Entrants, you will be required to bring your own table, chairs, tent and accessories.
This is NOT a sanctioned event.
Come out and taste the most awesomeness BBQ.
